Born and growing up in Scotland, I moved to London in my early 20’s. I have had a wide and varied working life which has led me to settle in Chichester in West Sussex where I have lived since 2012.
Having three members of my own family die within twelve months, all of whom had Humanist funeral ceremonies, made me appreciate how important it is to get this right. Funerals should honour the person who has died and be celebrations of life as well as a respectful and meaningful way to pay our respects.
Training to become a funeral celebrant with Humanists UK was a natural decision for me. I believe in the ethos of the organisation and how this translates into producing a non-religious funeral service that fully encompasses the wishes of the family.
My background is in writing, communication and presentation and I will use these skills to work with you to produce a ceremony that will honour the person that you have loved.
